The Fort of the Earls - Dungannon

This week Tony and the team visit Dungannon, Northern Ireland to locate one of the most important sites in Anglo-Irish history.

A hilltop castle high above the city, home to the powerful O' Neill clan, was seized by English forces in 1602, setting off events that would cause unrest in the two countries for centuries to come.

The site is now home to an abandoned British Army base. With only one picture of the old fortress still in existence, the team have to use all their resources to uncover the truth about this important site.

Most of the cast and crew flew into Belfast to get to this location, but for some it was another major road trip involving overnight ferries and mixing it with some of the nation's trucking community - a gastronomic experience not to be missed....
But all were welcomed by the stunning views, amazing sunrises and the friendliest of people...
